Supporting Young People

Young people are our future, but many here in Cornwall feel their opportunities are limited. We can do something about that.

We help people from 10 to 24 access support, information, advice, counselling and guidance. There are also volunteering opportunities offering valuable work experience and the chance to improve self-confidence.

Our young people’s programmes include:

Funding Partners: Cornwall Council; National Lottery Community Fund

A 4-year project starting in 2018 to support young people aged 10 to 16 with mental health and/or issues of emotional wellbeing. Our youth and community facilitators directly support young people, parents, carers, volunteers and community groups providing training and advice. 360 young people each year receive face-to-face support with online and phone-based access for more than 2500. We also assist 60 community groups with capacity building activities.

We aim to equip them with the best possible tools to develop future careers and live healthy, independent lives. By the end of 2023 we hope to have worked with around 1500 people.
